Lip Filler
Lip fillers, also known as lip augmentation, are an incredibly popular way of adding extra volume, plumpness and definition to the lips, helping to enhance the shape of the mouth.
With almost immediate results, the aim of the treatment is to create a natural, soft look that adds fullness and will last for up to six months.
This is achieved using our highest quality, hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers; a smooth gel which is injected into the treatment area by our fully-trained medical professionals.

HOW IT WORKS
Hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler (a smooth gel) is injected to the lips to subtly reshape, redefine and add volume
HOW MANY TREATMENTS
One
It works by not only plumping the lip directly but also trapping water within lips for a natural, plump pout and reducing elasticity.
This will give your lips a youthful and rejuvenated appearance and can also be used for things like lifting the corners of the mouth.
Over time, your body will break down the filler, making this a perfectly safe and non-permanent treatment. However, with our expertise, we will ensure you have fabulous and long-lasting results that you can be proud of.
Here at S-Thetics Clinic, our team will help you to create the exact look you want, whether that is a subtle change or much fuller lips, using a personalised treatment plan agreed upon during your detailed consultation prior to any treatment.
Please note: Individual results may vary. Anaesthetic will be applied 20-30 minutes before treatment
Ideal treatment for
Many of our patients at S-Thetics are looking for solutions to restore facial volume. As we age, our skin produces less collagen, which leads to a loss in elasticity.
Frown lines are the lines that appear between the eyebrows, either when frowning, or as we age and elasticity is gone from the area, on a permanent basis. Ageing skin is most identifiable by the presence of wrinkles. As collagen production decreases over time, the skin becomes less able to repair itself from the movement of everyday life. There are, fortunately, a variety of different treatments that can be used to treat fine lines and wrinkles and return a youthful complexion to the skin.

This short treatment is ideal for adding the volume and definition you desire to your mouth. Our team, who have extensive medical training, will use only the best dermal filler products to create a stunning look that suits your face.
Miss Sherina Balaratnam is one of the UK’s most experienced practitioners in this field, holding the prestigious title of ‘Local Country Ambassador’ (LCA) for Allergan, the manufacturers of BOTOX and the Juvederm range of dermal fillers.
Her ‘less is more’ approach and overwhelming experience in facial anatomy means you will be in the best hands when undergoing your treatment – and don’t worry, there won’t be any ‘duck lips’ here!
We only use the highest grade medical products, meaning your results will be natural, subtle and expertly created to give you the lips you have always wanted.
While you will instantly notice a difference, it is also important to be aware that it can take up to two or three weeks for the product to completely settle.
However, longevity of the results can be affected by lifestyle factors, such as smoking or sun exposure, as these can affect how quickly your body breaks down the filler.
Around 20-30 minutes prior to the treatment, a member of our medical team will apply an anaesthetic to your lips, which should make the treatment more comfortable. They will then use a fine needle to inject the filler into strategic spots, creating your desired look.
Post-treatment, your lips may feel tender and sore for the first couple of days, giving you the sensation that something is ‘in’ your lips. Don’t worry, this is completely normal.
With lip fillers, we would recommend avoiding make-up on the area for around 12 hours. However, we would also ask patients to avoid extreme warm environments such as saunas or sunbeds for up to two weeks post-treatment.
Your practitioner will give you a full brief on how to look after your lips following the procedure to ensure you get the best results.
At S-Thetics Clinic, we believe a detailed consultation and full VISIA skin analysis are essential before performing any treatment.
It is during this consultation that we will discuss your suitability for lip fillers, though, generally, they can be used on a wide range of patients.
However, filler treatments are not suitable if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or undergoing IVF.
As with any medical procedure, there is a risk of unwanted side effects with HA dermal filler treatments. Most side effects are normally short-lived and often relate to the injection procedure.
Following injection, there may be redness, slight swelling, or bruising around the injection area but these usually only last a few days.
