Redness

Facial redness can occur for all sorts of reasons, commonly either when small blood vessels in the skin become visible, or by the skin taking on a permanent ‘flushed’ appearance.

The detail

Redness in the face can be apparent as part of a condition called rosacea, which can be accompanied by burning and stinging, or by spots or pustules. Sun exposure, stress, exercise, or environmental factors can all cause redness to become more prominent in the face.

Facial redness can be treated with laser or light therapy, as this shrinks the veins in the skin, making them less visible and reducing the ‘reddish’ appearance. Medical skincare is another effective way to treat facial redness and rosacea, of which we have some fantastic options at S-Thetics Clinic. Get in touch for more information.
